Summer holidays budget style

I have just finished up a crazy hectic 1 year course at Uni - all ready for my new job..... after the summer holidays ( 7 weeks in Scotland) only problem is I don't get paid until the end of August!

So here it goes Summer holidays on a budget. Keeping my two guys entertained with lots of new memories!

Target -£350 maximum for all 7 weeks - this includes everything down to picnics, days outs.  I will not be including things bought in the weekly shop unless it is over and above what I would normally spend.  This target I know is more than some people have to spend and also way less than other will spend but I chose it as it works out £50 a week which with two boys could be a trip to the cinema as a family.

Week one 1st July - 7th July
Monday - digifun at Local library ( free)
Tuesday- babysitting so played outside all day ( thankfully weather was great! - again free)
Wednesday - Babysitting again  - so again all kids playing outside - ( free)
Thursday - walk to the park - (£2 juice and snack)
Friday - Super busy day - swimming ( boys were free because of swimming lessons, I was £3.40) , then there was a fun day in the Portal - boys played football, table tennis, on balance bikes, circus equipment and inflatables ( free).  Later on that day there was another fun day at the local community centre the Fullarton Hub - cost of all activities and candy floss and cakes - (£8.)

Weekend. We went to the park and chilled in the house - it was horrible weather. (free)

Week one total cost £13.40!   The boys were had some great days and told me they are loving their summer holidays so much!

First week super success in keeping in budget - any ideas, tips you have I would love to know all about them.
